"J'étudie les médias créatifs à l'université de Hong Kong.
La photo c'est ma passion depuis que j'ai genre 15 ans. Je passe le plus clair de mon temps libre là-dessus, ce qui inclue le shooting, l'édition et la quête d'inspiration. Plus jeune, le dessin était plus important que tout. Je passais volontiers des heures sur un seul croquis.
Mais ensuite la photographie a capté toute mon attention. A l'intérieur de ce prisme, je suis capable de combiner la réalité et mon imagination, créer une scène bien plus rapidement qu'en dessinant. C'est la première chose que j'aime dans la photo quand j'y pense."

Photography is my passion since around 15. Basically, I spend most of my free-time on it including shooting, editing and searching for inspiration. When I were younger, drawing was actually more important than everything, I would spent hours and hours on one single piece of sketch.
But then I found that photography is more interesting for me. In which, I am able to combine the reality and my imagination, create a scene faster than drawing. That's the first thing I like about photography back then."
"Sometimes, I see the model as myself during the shoot, they can reflect my emotion or my current mental state through the photos. I shoot mostly female models, as it's easier for me to put myself in, and I personally think the body shape of female is more attractive and interesting. Usually, I just shoot ordinary people or friends around me."

Je ne photographie presque que des filles, puisque c'est plus facile de m'y voir, et de mon point de vue le corps féminin est plus attirant et captivant. "Franchement, j'ai un peu horreur des humains. Je préfère rester avec mon chien et mon chat. Je galère un peu pour ce qui est des relations humaines. La sociabilisation c'est crevant et la plupart du temps je suis mal à l'aise. Peut-être que ce truc-là va évoluer avec le temps mais je suis pas sûr de faire confiance à la race humaine. Après tout les gens changent, et moi aussi."

Relationships between people are hard for me to deal with, being social is exhausting and would make me nervous most of the time. I don't know if there were any changes after I grow up. I'm not sure if I trust the human race, people change all the time, included myself."
"Hong Kong n'est pas le paradis de l'art mais il y a un tas de jeunes qui s'y s'intéressent. Ceci dit il manque un public pour l'apprécier à sa juste valeur. C'est rien qu'une grosse ville de commerce alors les beaux-arts sont pas un truc qui obsèdent les gens. Ca a l'air d'être super ouvert d'esprit mais en fait la pensée traditionnelle Chinoise a encore une réelle emprise sur l'opinion. Je suis une rebelle qui adore s'opposer aux autres, créer des images qu'ils vont refuser en bloc, c'est parfois très amusant. J'ai nullement l'ambition d'élever les gens, je préfère exprimer mes sentiments (qui n'ont parfois aucun sens) à travers le visuel. "
"Hong Kong is not a perfect place for art, there are plenty of youths here that are interested in art. However, there are not much audience who would appreciate. This is a commercially superior city thus fine art is not something people normally focus on. This place seems to be open-minded, but actually, the Chinese traditional thinking is still deep inside some minds. I'm a rebel who like to oppose most people, creating images that they don't accept, which is somehow fun for me. Though I'm not aiming to rise people's attention, but to express my feelings (sometimes just meaningless) through the images."

La première fois que je l'ai entendue j'en étais un peu folle alors j'en ai utilisé le titre pour mon compte Flickr, ainsi qu'ailleurs sur les réseaux sociaux. "
La série "盛世" (shengshi) ambitionne de montrer l'interdépendance entre la nature et l'Homme. L'Homme n'est qu'une partie de la nature, au même titre que les autres animaux et les plantes. Quand je suis sur le point de prendre en photo une fille dans la nature, je la vois comme un arbre, une pierre ou une vague au lieu d'une jolie petite gueule.
Les mots "盛世" évoque une ère de paix nationale et d'ordre / Le bon règne / Paix et Harmonie.
The series "盛世" (shengshi) is a set of image which aimed to show the integration of nature and human. As I believed human is part of the nature like any other animal or plants. If I were to photograph a girl in nature, I see her as a tree, a stone or a wave instead of a pretty face.
The words "盛世" means a time of national peace and order/ good reigns in history/ peace and harmony.
